Alfred Hitchcock

Alfred Joseph Hitchcock, (13 August 1899 – 29 April 1980)

A true legend in cinemas. Movies belonging to Hitchcock have been under thriller as genre but in his works we can find the blend of sex, betrayal, psychology which provide a completely different experience.  This English film director and producer has taken Hollywood to a new level. Over a career spanning more than half a century, Hitchcock fashioned for himself a distinctive and recognizable directorial style.Hitchcock made two of the greatest, most innovative and memorable horror films of all time: Psycho and The Birds.  Suspicion, Dial M for Murder, Rope, North by Northwest are my particular favorites

Psycho
Sixteen films directed by Hitchcock earned Oscar nominations, though only six of those films earned Hitchcock himself a nomination. The total number of Oscar nominations (including winners) earned by films he directed is fifty.Four of those films earned Best Picture nominations.

Hitchcock was made aHitchcock was made Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire by  Queen Elizabeth II in the 1980 New Year's Honours.

Alfred Hitchcock is a god to me or even better. My movie watching experience has never been more entertaining as it has been watching his works. Of course his work is spellbinding in thrillers in majority. So if you want to have a spine chilling i recommend you to refer to Hitchcock's movies.
